Meet the Maker: Self described as a "maker of useful things," Hungarian immigrant turned American designer Eva Zeisel was an industrial designer best known for her ceramics, particularly work that explored the balance of natural elements and human relationships.

In partnership with Minnesota's Red Wing Pottery, her Town & Country ceramics line began production in 1947. She is credited as one of a handful of American designers whose work brought modern design into the homes of the middle class. Her work has been recognized by and featured in numerous museum and gallery collections, including the Museum of Modern Art.

Condition: Good. No cracks or fading. Small chip on exterior lip of dish (shown in photo).
